FIFA 18 Pro Clubs: ACL Season XVII Week 1 Power Rankings

Week 1 always has some eye-popping games like Elusive vs Fc FiFa HoLiCz on Game 2 of the opening night, Never Unlucky FC vs American Outlaws in Game 2 on Wednesday night, and Viva Futbol vs Soul Futbol on Game 2 of Wednesday night as well. Points in week 1 go a long way in seeing how the rest of the season will go and early match-ups help teams size each other up and ultimately, make a huge difference in the end. This season starts off with a bang and should be hard fought until the end.

1.)  American Outlaws – They are the best team until they aren’t. Three titles in a row means that you have something special. The defending champs won’t be all that tested in Week 1 and should breeze through it.

Player to Watch: Ao l Neymar – The lesser of the dynamic duo between him and Ao l Messi, his involvement this season could be increased with Messi grabbing most of the attention for opposing defenses. Kind of like how the real life Messi and Neymar were.

2.) Viva Futbol – Viva is back once again and have a front loaded schedule but they should be more than up to the task. They once again look like serious title threats to AO and are in the best spot to take their crown back.

Player to Watch: Ramani vFRamani is still known as the best CB around, time to prove it.

Previous Week: N/A

3.) Fc FiFa HoLiCz – FHz are back and as dangerous as ever. Led by Aztecass and Vallejos vF, they look to take home the championship and nothing less. Anything but a title to them is coming up short of expectations.

Player to Watch: FHz Ozil 11He’s been a rock in midfield for a few FIFAs now and this one is no different. The work he does offensively and defensively is second to none and he is still one of the best 2-way players in the FVPAA.

Previous Week: N/A

4.) Elusive – Elusive folded then came back and now have built their most complete squad in their team’s history. They will be serious title threats if they play anywhere as good as they look on paper.

Player to Watch: Peanut l 10 l Peanut has always been an above average winger but now he has the confidence of one. His game needs to back up his talk this season.

Previous Week: N/A

5.)  Soul Futbol – Soul finished 5th last year to put themselves on the map and now won the pre-season, they are only on their way up to be a contending team. Should be a team that can compete with the best if they keep consistent results.

Player to Watch: Avid NotesEvery team trying to breakthrough into the top tier of teams needs an elite GK. If he can play up to that level, Soul will flourish.

Previous Week: N/A

6.) Never Unlucky FC NUFC has been rebuilt officially and the team looks a little awkward with no Lovelady09 or Unlucky Dustin. Fortunately, Unlucky Dblock and NYCFC Diggs have kept the squad alive and have built it around solid veterans who have something to prove.

Player to Watch: Paul l 5 lThe anchor of the NUFC midfield also returns and his play and new-built chemistry with his other midfielders will be the key to how well this team does.

Previous Week: N/A

7.) Old Guard  OG Calvo did a complete rebuild and now has shaped up one of the oddest rosters created in recent memory. A new mix of players with little chemistry could see this team have a rough first week even though the talent is evident.

Player to Watch: OG Calvo – He may be past his prime, but if he find that form again and carry his offense, Old Guard could be potential darkhorses when it’s all said and done.

Previous Week: N/A

8.) Fatality – Just because this team had to fight through the D2 promotion tournament, does not mean they aren’t full of good players. They could really make a name for themselves after a very strong pre-season showing.

Player to Watch: xWDx VOLZ – Height limit will now make him adjust to a lower height which he vehemently apposed. If he doesn’t adjust, this offense will struggle.

Previous Week: N/A

9.) Chaos Well Isco, it’s your time to shine and put your money where your mouth is. Teamming up with Lahm l 21 l, they built a solid core and will be trying to break the Isco playoff curse.

Player to Watch: CKlassenIf the defense doesn’t play well, he is good enough to carry them through tougher games.

Previous Week: N/A

10.) A1 Futbol – A1 Futbol is brand new to the league and got to D1 based off a team folding. They are dangerous because they all have maxed out pros and at least 5 of their players are on the pro clubs leaderboards. They are definitely committed.

Player to Watch: A1 DybalaHe not only will need to play up to the competition, but he needs to be able to manage the squad well during their highs and lows.

Previous Week: N/A

11.) Meet the GOATS – As much as I want to put them lower for their awful club name, they have good talent on their squad. They are also a potential darkhorse to defeat the odds against them.

Player to Watch: l Murked l – You have to score to win, and he has plenty of experience scoring against bad teams, but now he’s got to go against the players and be up to the task.

Previous Week: N/A

12.)  Arrechos SC – I wanted to put them higher and think they have the talent to be higher, but they have a lot of new faces in vital positions and it might take time to truly mesh together. They will be in playoff talks when it’s all said and done.

Player to Watch: VIP of Ireland – Formerly known as Helix, he could end up being the best signing no one has talked about if he plays CB as well as he has in previous seasons.

Previous Week: N/A

13.) Flow Futbol – Flow is led by the almighty (snackmaster) MiPapiBarco and will once again try to fight for a place to stay in D1. They have some good players and may speak strictly spanish, but they do have forseeable talent.

Player to Watch: MiPapiBarcoWhether it’s striker, CAM, LM, RM, or CDM; Barco needs to take his talent to a higher level if his team is going to make playoffs.

Previous Week: N/A

14.) Paranoid l Sanders l is back at it and he brought a good combination of friends and veterans of the FVPAA to help him. They are always going to have games where they shine, but they also have games where they absolutely disappear and struggle mightily.

Player to Watch: Igniti0n69A truly solid midfielder and a menace to go against, he will have to anchor the rest of his team for Paranoid to be real threats.

Previous Week: N/A

15.) Legacy FC– Honestly, this roster looks really solid and has some good pieces, but I don’t see where the goals will be created from. They are going to cause some fits but overall, I don’t think they’ll get enough good results due to their lack of creativity and secure defense.

Player to Watch: Doobtrayn – He is a solid player to have on any playoff caliber team, but he might have to go above and beyond to carry Legacy into any playoff chance.

Previous Week: N/A

16.) Elite Exile FC  They’re kind of like Legacy, they have a decent roster, but the lack of experience and talent will ultimately be the deciding factor for them.

Player to Watch: l M0NEY lIf you’re going to be the self-proclaimed “best winger in the game”, you better prove it. Good luck.

Previous Week: N/A

17.) Intense City – Intense City got into D1 from the D2 Promotion tournament like Fatality did. I don’t think they are nearly as talented as Fatality though and I think they will see themselves back the way they came.

Player to Watch: Vega004He played well in the promo tourney, if he can keep up any of that form, they have a slight chance to make some noise this season.

Previous Week: N/A

18.) CF Tigres  Tigres ended up falling short last season on promotion and once again fell short in the D2  Promotion Tournament, but alas they end up in D1 due to another team folding last minute. They have had quite the adventure.

Player to Watch: Smelly Elbows I honestly just wanted to be able to type out that gamertag. It was as joyous as I’d hoped it would be.
